GATE AT Coyote Creek Elementary

The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) is used to initially identify students who are eligible for the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) Program. This test consists of three batteries, which measure verbal, quantitative and nonverbal abilities.  

 

The Gifted and Talented Program is integrated into the regular classroom. G.A.T.E. cluster classrooms are provided in grades 3 - 5.

 

Teachers at Coyote Creek provide differentiated instruction and possible extension activities for ALL students throughout the school day in a variety of subject areas.

The school/parent G.A.T.E. advisory committee assists Mr. Alpert in organizing additional enrichment activities.
