Birthdays

WE LOVE BIRTHDAYS!
We really do love birthdays, but the safety of our students is of utmost importance.
Food treats are not an option for birthday celebrations. We have many students with a wide range of severe, life threatening allergies to various food products.
Teachers honor children in the classroom on their special day in a variety of ways, but here's a list of ideas to celebrate your child's special day at school:
  • Put your child's name on the school marquee!
  • Have your child bring their favorite book to share (the teacher or child will read it to the class).
  • Bring simple goodie bags for the class with safe items inside.
  • Provide each classmate with a colorful pencil, stickers or eraser.
  • Choose a favorite song or musical piece to sing or play for the class
  • Donate a book to the school library or classroom in honor of your child’s birthday with his/her name inside.
  • Donate a ball or jump rope (new or used) to the classroom for recess.
