I earned my BA at the University of Southern California in Political Science.  My senior year I decided the education field interested me so I joined Teach for America and was sent to teach in New Orleans.  I remained there for five years and returned to the Bay to be with family.  After teaching in Oakland for six years I wanted a shorter commute and came here. It is an honor to work at Coyote Creek.  We have hard working scholars, dedicated parents and a staff that goes above and beyond for our community.  I am lucky to be a part of Coyote Creek.  My husband, John and I married in 2010 and have welcomed two beautiful daughters, Madilyn and Gianna.  We used to take leisurely walks in and around the Bay, but since our daughters arrived, Zoos and playgrounds are where you find us on the weekends.  Friends and family are important to us so we often surround ourselves with loved ones from near and far.

Welcome to room 30! I absolutely love fifth-grade and am excited to be teaching alongside such a strong team at Coyote Creek. I have worked for SRVUSD since 2008. I received my teaching credential from Brandman University have taken additional classes at Columbia University, Saint Mary’s College, and UC Davis.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking and camping with my husband and our three boys. During breaks, you will often find me visiting my parents in Oregon.

I am eager to see the brilliant combination of minds and personalities we will have in room 30 this year. I am a teacher who values student choice, independence, and collaboration in the classroom. I work with my class all year to create a strong and positive community of learners. I am thrilled to be your child's teacher for this very exciting year of learning.

I am grateful and fortunate to have recently joined Coyote Creek and excited to teach 5th grade.  I grew up on the other side of the bay in San Bruno. I received a bachelor degree in Business Commerce (marketing) from Santa Clara University. Upon graduating, I have worn many hats before finding my true passion in teaching by earning my teaching credential from Cal State East Bay.  Some hats I wore in the past include retail management (store manager at Mervyns and Kohl’s), union plumber/pipe fitter (Local 342), and HOA/community management.

My wife and I are the proud parents of 2 beautiful and spunky daughters.  On the weekends, you can find us at a soccer field, swimming pool, or in Twain Harte.  Looking forward to a great year!

I am excited to be teaching fifth grade again this year!  Before coming to Coyote Creek, I previously taught both 4th and 5th grade at Charlie McKamy Elementary in Dallas, Texas.

Even though I taught in Texas, I'm a local girl.  I grew up in Walnut Creek and went to St. Mary's Elementary School and Carondelet High School.  I graduated from UC Davis with a bachelor of science in Psychology, and got my teaching credential from SMU in Texas.  After teaching in Texas for awhile and enduring the wild and crazy weather, we moved back to the Bay Area in 2008.

Away from the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 2 children.  I also like shopping, running, swimming and reading. I'm looking forward to another exciting and memorable year at Coyote Creek!

I spent my childhood on the East Coast and moved to California when I was 17 years old. I received my Bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. Afterwards, I pursued a career as a Certified Public Accountant.

After having children, I spent lots of time volunteering in their classrooms working with children on math, art and reading. Through that work, I discovered my passion for education. So, I returned to school and earned my Credential and Master of Arts in Teaching at St. Mary’s College of California.

I have lived in Danville since 2002 and have raised my own children in San Ramon Valley. When I’m not teaching, I love to spend time with my husband, my three kids, and my three dogs. I enjoy going to shows in the city, hiking, and reading. I have been a life-long learner and I hope to inspire my student’s to continually grow and pursue their passions. I strive to have my classroom filled with laughter and curiosity.
