BILL ALPERT, PRINCIPAL

I've been with Coyote Creek since 2008. Before my tenure at Coyote Creek I worked as a Teacher on Special Assignment (TSA) at Holbrook Elementary in Concord, CA. At Holbrook I taught several intervention classes to third, fourth, and fifth graders, set up a noon-league sports program, and did various administrative duties. Prior to my TSA position, I was a first and third grade classroom teacher for ten years at Mountain View Elementary in Concord, CA. I was originally born in Pittsburgh, PA, and resided there until five years of age. My family moved to Atlanta, GA where I attended kindergarten through third grade. In fourth grade we moved to Walnut Creek, CA, and I have lived in Northern California ever since. I attended Walnut Acres Elementary, Foothill Intermediate, and Northgate High School. I furthered my education at UC Davis and graduated with a BA in History in 1991. I went back to school to obtain my teaching credential at Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, NV, and began teaching in 1996. My administrative certification was done through Cal State, East Bay. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my cat (Kevin), and my two children, Wesley (20) and Ella (18). Wesley is currently in his junior year at Chico State and Ella is heading down to Los Angeles for her freshman year at Occidental College. I am an avid snowboarder, play both indoor and outdoor soccer, enjoy reading, movies, music, eating sushi and Mexican food, paddleboarding, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and US Soccer when I have the time.
